MEET MATEA

Hi, I’m Matea (mah-tay-uh) and I am a professional Photographer based out of St Thomas, Ontario. Photography has been my passion for as long as I can remember and I turned my passion into a career in 2011.

I am of Croatian decent and immigrated to Canada with my family in 1993 during a war in my home Country. Due to the urgent nature of our immigration to Canada, my family lost many valuable possessions, including all of our photographs. It was this loss that made me realize the importance of capturing and holding onto life’s most precious moments and milestones.

After graduation in Business Marketing and Administration, I chose to further my education in Photography at Fanshawe College. In 2011, I turned my creativity, eye for detail, and business background into a home-based photography business, that has quickly flourished into a bustling full-time career, capturing weddings, families, and newborns all over Ontario.

I am a Mother of 2 beautiful children and wife to an amazing Husband of 12 years. I enjoy being an active part of my community and enjoy donating my time and services to worthy causes.
